  I love this place. I own a restaurant a couple of doors down, and have gotten to know Mike very well. He is one of the nicest people that I know, and his barbecue is amazing. I'm not sure what I like the best...smoked wings, brisket, ribs...corn bread is awesome. If you are looking for some of the best barbecue in the area, and want to be served by one of the nicest guys you will ever meet in your life, then check out this place!

  I am from out of town currently visiting Sarasota on vacation. Where I am from I eat a lot of BBQ. It is my go to food for any occasion. I can confidently say that Pride of the South BBQ is some of the best BBQ that I've ever had. The ribs were outstanding and the sides were excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. If I am ever back in Sarasota I will be coming back here 100%.
