  I didn't want to believe the poor reviews before I sent my son to Impact. None of the owners kept their word about how my son would be cared for. It was a horrible experience in every way: supervising coaches doing drugs with players, crammed apartments, no structure, zero academic support, abusive harassment from leaders toward players. When I communicated my concerns to owner Joe, there was great talk and no follow through. Tom (other owner) is invisible, and would respond only when money issues were on the table. Matt H (Florida) is emotionally unstable and punitive. I am a reasonable person (not a complainer) who communicated about these serious issues in a calm and fair way, to absolutely no avail. I lost $60K, but more than that, my son lost his love of basketball and his self-esteem took a serious hit. I can not begin to describe the losses to our family. I don't believe in writing bad reviews, but I feel an ethical obligation to other parents who are considering this residential program. This is not a solid place for your teenager.
